I disagree with much of this list. Especially with regard to Frasier. 107 Emmy nominations, 37 wins. American actors and writers guild awards, Golden Globes..... Superbly written and directed, acclaimed for its technical aspects.....
I think often it goes over the heads of some people, especially when referencing classic literature. Seinfeld, also a fine show, lacked this aspect. Of course Seinfeld offered its own quirkiness and wonders and remains a classic.
Personally I dislike articles such as this that focus on negativity. Overated by whom? Nobody cares.

Hi Kelly
I agree that Diesel's screen persona is always infuriatingly 'macho' (to the point that I often wonder whether the man himself is deeply insecure) but I have never thought of him as 'slow-witted' by any stretch of the imagination.

Also were you aware that 'The Ropes' is not Vin Diesel's first time as a writer/director? I was surprised that you made no mention of his earlier credits as a writer and director for Multi-Facial (1995) and Stray's (1997).

I'll say something hyperbolic here: People who think Michael Moore is a great documentarian are people who have never worked in, or studied documentaries. I am an unabashed liberal, and a documentary filmmaker. Fox news is a blight on our land, but to assume that the tricks that they employ exist only on the right is ridiculous. Everyone, stupid, smart, left, right, and center is vulnerable to the easiest manipulation in docs: presentation bias. It is easy to make your film look fair by interviewing opposing voices, but where the manipulation comes in is when you select your interviewees, or cut them in such a way to make opposing views seem ridiculous. Just interview someone smart supporting your thesis, and you win the audience. It's cheap, sneaky, and dishonest. I want to be clear that when I began film school, I was a HUGE Moore fan. That's when I learned what he was doing. Documentaries should attempt a truly fair minded approach to your subject. That means, if there is no intellectual debate, if everyone comes away with the same impression, that's not a study of your topic. It's propaganda. As a true progressive liberal, I wish our side could be better, and not just cash in on the same idiocy as those we criticize. If you want to see a thought provoking fair doc, see "lake of fire". No matter your perspective, you will find a lively debate portrayed with great care.

I watched the season one on Netflix. I found it awesome. I am a doorman in the uk. And the banter. All the female loving. All the making people wait. The sex and drugs. Lol. It is a seedy environment. It is a show after all. But it's good. And a lot of the stuff is relevant. Big vic. Ninja rizzio. Really good characters. I recommend to watch at least once.

I watched the shows I do have to say I am a vin fan but to be a true fan doesn't mean you have to love All his work. With saying that I loved this show can't wait for them to come out with some more.
